Make the Media... more responsible

We learn in the first semester of any journalism class...media responsibility. What is it? It's accuracy, fairness, freedom from bias, and quality reporting. It's, as Bob Woodward puts it, "the best obtainable version of the truth." It's understanding its societal role.

So, what can we do? That's the point of this blog. I'm out to find out what will work. I thint it has to start locally. With newspapers and newscasts. We must hold them accountable for the stories they tell, the way they tell them, and equally as important, the way they promote them.
